Top level executives from companies such as PepsiCo, ASDA, AXA Insurance, and Thomson Reuters will join representatives from over 25 other leading businesses in a European focused business conference in London 8-9 June 2010. London, 23 March 2010

Representatives from leading corporates such as PepsiCo, ASDA, AXA Insurance and Thomson Reuters are set to gather in June to share best practice for two days of focused debate and networking at The 4th Annual Climate Change Summit, a two-day business conference organised by Ethical Corporation on 8th and 9th June 2010, in London.

PepsiCo’s Head of Corporate Responsibility for UK and Ireland Andrew Smith will reveal what PepsiCo is doing to tackle post-Copenhagen challenges including how to adhere to international targets, and understanding the implications of impending legislation along with discussing the likely outcomes of the UK post-election environment.

Julian Walker-Palin, Head of Corporate Policy for Sustainability and Ethics at ASDA, will lead a challenging debate on forthcoming legislation in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. He will draw on his own practical experience to discuss how businesses can prepare to increase their commitment to reducing emissions, and the risks and consequences if you don’t.

AXA Insurance representative, Truska Angel, Head of Climate Change and Corporate Social Responsibility, will lead a case study session focusing on how to appeal to your climate-conscious customers. She will discuss, among other things, how to align business services to encourage sustainable behaviour from customers and what companies risk by communicating and selling green products to your customers and how to mitigate that risk.

Harkeeret Singh, Global Head of Data Centre Energy Optimisation at Thomson Reuters will join a diverse panel alongside representatives from Marks & Spencer and innocent drinks to compare and contrast different approaches towards measuring carbon emissions, and communicating the results to stakeholders. The panel will also look at the different internal motivators between B2B and B2C companies and the result on the choices on energy efficiency priorities.

These leading representatives will join a speaker line up of over 25 senior executives who will address a wide range of climate focused issues at London’s Regent’s Park Marriott Hotel on 8-9 June 2010.
