The United Nations Global Impact has appointed Charlotte Haberaecker chief operating officer. Haberaecker joins after 12 years as a vice-president at Fannie Mae, the US government-sponsored mortgage lender.

Business in the Community has a new chief executive. Stephen Howard was promoted from his former role of managing director on 1 March. He replaces Julia Cleverdon who had been the membership group’s chief executive for 16 years.

Meanwhile, Andrew Dakers has joined BITC as public affairs manager from WWF UK.

Segro has appointed Claudine Blamey to its newly created role of head of sustainability, effective from June. She is currently corporate responsibility director at British Land.

Jupiter Asset Management has appointed Ed Blamey as SRI research manager. He joins from Interface.

SNS Asset Management has appointed Manuel Adamini its new head of environmental and social governance research. Adamini previously worked with Fortis as a corporate social responsibility manager, specialised in climate change and human rights.

The Carbon Trust has appointed John Whybrow head of partnership development. He joins after nine years at Accenture.

Sarah Perry has joined TUI Travel as sustainable development manager, having previously been at Futerra Sustainability Communications as a senior consultant.

Amnesty International UK has appointed Simone Pereira as its first transparency and accountability manager.

Seventh Generation, America’s leading manufacturer of non-toxic household products, has appointed Bill Breen editorial director. Breen was previously editor and founding member of Fast Company.

Richard Crawford, president of US bottle maker O-I, has joined the national board of directors of Keep America Beautiful, America’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organisation.

US solar thermal electricity generation company SolarReserve has hired Kevin Smith as chief operating officer and head of development.

Australia’s Macquarie Group has appointed Anton Rohner as head of renewable power.
