Green Alliance, the UK environmental thinktank, has appointed Thomas Lingard to the new post of deputy director on a two-year secondment from Unilever. He was working on sustainable development, public affairs and business-NGO partnerships at the consumer goods giant.

SustainAbility, the consultancy and thinktank, has appointed three new members to its UK and US teams. Gary Kendall joins as director of energy sector and climate change programmes, based in London. Preetum Shenoy and Sophie Waskow both join the firm in Washington DC as manager and analyst respectively.

Enviros, the UK environmental consultancy, has appointed Nitin Kansal to advise water and utilities sector clients, and Tim Coffin to develop the firm’s environmental due diligence and transaction services.

Ideacarbon, the carbon market analyst, has appointed Dinesh Babu as chief executive of the Carbon Rating Agency, the group’s wholly owned subsidiary that rates carbon credits. Babu will be based in Singapore.

Jupiter Investment Management, the asset manager, has appointed Matteo Dante Perruccio as non-executive director. He is currently chief executive of the hedge funds boutique at fellow institutional investor Hermes.

Upstream Sustainability Services, an arm of commercial property giant Jones Lang LaSalle, has appointed Nick Gibbins as associate director to lead its sustainable development and regeneration activity.

RMT, the US environmental and energy services provider, has appointed Derek Johnson as general manager of environmental consulting and construction.

The port authority of Cleveland-Cuyahoga in the US has appointed Pamela Davis as environmental and sustainability manager, to “build one of the most environmentally friendly ports on the Great Lakes”.
