A longstanding user of Phase Forward's Clintrial clinical data management solution (CDMS), Schering-Plough Research Institute also has been successfully using Phase Forward's InForm software for the past four years for Phase I through Phase III clinical trials. Having recently initiated its 100th trial using InForm, the Institute is now licensed to extend its use of InForm for the management of Phase IV trials and will continue to deploy the software for new SPRI trials on an enterprise-wide scale.

Schering-Plough Research Institute initially piloted the InForm solution for a few select trials through Phase Forward's ASP service in 2000. Since that time, the Institute has taken the InForm solution in-house and has used it for the design and conduct of 100 clinical trials in 44 countries across multiple therapeutic areas.

"Our expanded relationship with Schering-Plough Research Institute points to the fact that electronic data capture is driving measurable benefits for pharmaceutical innovators on small and large scale deployments," said Robert Weiler, CEO and President of Phase Forward. "Schering-Plough Research Institute and Phase Forward have for years shared a vision of Internet-based technology as a vehicle for improving and speeding clinical development - helping research teams get products to market quicker or identify failed drug candidates sooner. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to continue playing a role in Schering-Plough Research Institute's development strategies."
