Aventis Pharmaceuticals deploys the BayBuilder SmartBuyer Platform
Aventis will use the solution to test the viability of electronic sourcing automation for the purchase of indirect materials and assets. The BayBuilder service is designed to enable Aventis to expand its use of reverse auction and other sourcing technology to the desktop platform, resulting in time and cost savings with a fast return for investment.

The platform is designed to provide Aventis with a desktop tool that electronically aggregates suppliers across numerous areas of direct and indirect goods and services purchasing to allow bidding with full information transfer, content and multi-dimensional quotation factors.
