WidgetBucks, a provider of advertising widgets, has introduced its two latest ad widget verticals in local and travel categories.

These two new verticals add to WidgetBucks' existing shopping ad widget offering, which now serves over a billion impressions a month worldwide, according to the company.

The company shared that the two new ad widgets are the first to offer real-time, interactive content. Travel ad widgets offer dynamic, multi-destination deals based on origin, destination and themed-travel, such as skiing and snowboarding destinations. These travel ads enable consumers to receive real-time pricing and deal alerts within the actual application.

Matt Hulett, chairman and CEO of Mpire and WidgetBucks, said, "Clearly, Internet consumption habits are evolving from single destination sites to a more disseminated approach. Our new ad widgets help publishers and bloggers provide this influx of visitors with relevant, monetisable content."

WidgetBucks' privately held parent company, Mpire Corporation, was founded in 2005, and funded by Ignition Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
