Spirit Airlines focuses on onboard advertising and online media buying

Spirit Airlines has launched customised onboard advertising. The company's new Mile High Media has commenced this initiative by offering media options such as seat backs, window shades, overhead bins, tray tables and drink carts.

Spirit Airlines has launched customised onboard advertising. The company's new Mile High Media has commenced this initiative by offering media options such as seat backs, window shades, overhead bins, tray tables and drink carts.

In addition to onboard media, online advertising is available on www.spiritair.com and in various e-mail vehicles.

Mile High Media is featuring ads aboard all Spirit Airlines flights with its first partner, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.

"Mile High Media offers advertisers among the highest efficacy of any media delivering more sales to more people at the lowest cost of sale providing up to 2,000 times the impact of traditional media," said Mile High Media sales director Michael Pewther.

Ads by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism are featuring on overhead bins, tray tables and bulkheads, as well as seatback inserts with special package offers to The Bahamas from Spirit Vacations.
