Kelkoo Travel ready with its flight website

The second phase of Kelkoo Travel’s relaunch has been unveiled with the release of its flight website in the UK.

The initiative follows the release of the company’s new-look hotel website in the UK in September last year, which marked the start of a series of phased rebuild developments to Kelkoo Travel across Europe.  The rapid development timeframe for flights was achieved using the platform for innovation initially created for the hotel beta pages introduced four months ago.

The next steps for the flight site will see it released in the French and Norwegian markets, before being introduced on Kelkoo’s other European sites.

The new-look flight site enables visitors to access deals from around 130 airlines.

Highlights

The company says by incorporating feedback from users of the hotel section of the website, the flight offering now includes enhanced user-friendly functions such as ‘merchant grouping’. This means that users are shown just the best offer from each merchant, giving them the option to click to see more deals from individual merchants if they wish.

Search filters that have been incorporated include price, duration, take-off times and airlines.

Plan

Whilst the development of the flights site has been ongoing, other progress includes the move of Kelkoo’s hotel pages from beta to the actual Kelkoo site in the UK, France and Italy.

Hotels beta has been launched in the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark, whilst Spain and Germany will be unveiled within the coming weeks.

The next rebuild developments to Kelkoo Travel will see the ‘car hire’ and ‘holiday’ pages of the website go live in the coming months.
