Kees Koolen appointed as CEO of Booking.com

priceline.com has named Kees Koolen as Chief Executive Officer of its principal international business unit Booking.com B.V. The promotion will be effective September 1, 2008.

priceline.com has named Kees Koolen as Chief Executive Officer of its principal international business unit Booking.com B.V. The promotion will be effective September 1, 2008.

He will report to priceline.com's President and CEO, Jeffery H. Boyd.

Koolen, who is Booking.com's COO, will succeed Stef Norden who is retiring to pursue other personal interests, but will continue as a member of the Board of Directors of priceline.com International Limited. Norden has served as Booking.com's CEO for five years. Booking.com was acquired by priceline.com in July 2005.

Koolen has been part of the Booking.com management team for seven years.
