Microsoft has officially acquired Farecast. It was shared that Farecast is now part of Microsoft Live Search and is a new Live Search travel destination, Live Search Farecast.

Farecast's smart travel search tools now have a new home at farecast.live.com.

Though Farecast has a new URL and look, consumers will still have access to the same travel search experience they trust, based on science, not marketing.

Additionally, Farecast's airfare predictions will be available as "instant answers" to consumers using Microsoft Live Search to research travel plans.
