Online hotel reservations company Booking.com has opened an office in Greece, bringing the total of its international offices to 20.

Based in Athens, the team will focus on dedicated hotel account management services. According to the company, the decision results from a high customer demand from both foreign markets as well as the local market in Greece. With more than 1,300 directly contracted hotels, the new office gives Booking.com the opportunity to further develop their relationships with hotels and partners in the region.

The strong growth in Greece and Cyprus has enabled us to open an office in Athens, said Nikos Stathatos, Manager - Booking.com Greece.

The company sold 19 million hotel room nights in 2007.
