With a mobile phone, AirAsia customers can search for flights, book, use
a credit card to pay, and receive flight confirmation and itinerary
details, from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.

Tony Fernandes, Group chief executive officer, AirAsia Berhad said,
"Mobile phone users have more than quadrupled in the past few years,
even surpassing the growth rate of computer / internet users.
Essentially, mobile.airasia.com would enable AirAsia to reach out to
even more consumers, cut down operating costs and expand our services to
markets with low computer / internet penetration. This will effectively
grow our consumer base in countries like China, Philippines and
Indonesia. Reduced operating costs would also mean we would be able to
offer even lower fares to our consumer."

For accessing the service, the users would be required to open the web
browser on your mobile phone and go to: mobile.airasia.com. From
the home page, one may browse through the various menu options in order
to book a flight. A detailed step by step user manual is enclosed. The
airline said AirAsia registered members would be able to fast track the
mobile.airasia.com booking process allowing reservations to be made in
seconds via their mobile phones and wireless devices.
