Boehringer Ingelheim nominated three times in eyeforpharma Barcelona Awards
Nearly 100 entries for the inaugural eyeforpharma awards have already been received and leading the field is Boehringer Ingelheim, a company that has been nominated three times and, in each case, the nomination has been received from an external source.
“Given that the awards focus on customer-facing initiative and real patient value, this is significant recognition of the company’s efforts in this area,” says Paul Simms, Chairman of eyeforpharma.
The award categories include ‘most valuable patient initiative or service’ and the ‘customer innovator award’.
The awards have also seen two nominations for Janssen/J&J, Pfizer and Bayer, whilst most of the largest 50 pharma companies have received at least one nomination.
The winners will be judged by both senior pharma experts and, uniquely, customers themselves.
“Our awards are proving to be a real showcase of real customer-oriented innovation in pharma. It is a clear illustration of just how many companies are genuinely championing patient and customer-centric initiatives - and the volume of third party nominations we’ve received demonstrates that individual hard work is still noticed and admired within the pharmaceutical community.” said Paul Simms.
Also among the awards is the ‘Lifetime Value Achievement Award’. The winner of this award will be hand-picked by the panel of judges, based on the individual’s consistent and determined contribution towards to innovation, resilience and value creation. Those being considered include Patrick Cashman, President of Lundbeck Canada, Nicola Redfern, Director of Market Access for Celgene and Roch Doliveux, CEO of UCB.
Due to demand, eyeforpharma has extended the nomination deadline from mid-December to 10th January, providing additional time for entrants to complete applications. Winners will be announced on 18th March 2014 in Barcelona.
