Opodo allots its search marketing account to The Search Works

Pan-European online travel service Opodo has chosen London-based The Search Works to manage its search marketing.

Pan-European online travel service Opodo has chosen London-based The Search Works to manage its search marketing.

With this appointment, the digital performance marketing company will manage all of Opodo's SEM campaigns; this will include building on the company's positioning as one of the leading players in the travel industry - built from a heritage in the flights market and extending that to hotels and city break packages.

The Search Works has been working with travel companies including Teletext, First Choice, easyJet and Eurostar.

Paul Treanor, head of Marketing UK for Opodo said, "Travel is a complex industry with key-word weightings needing to be shifted regularly to fit in with calendar events and seasons, The Search Works' team is uniquely able to manage this effectively from account director level right the way down to account management."

The Search Works bagged the account post an eight-way competitive pitch.
