Vueling and Clickair have started cross-selling the two companies’ entire inventory of domestic and international routes.

The combined supply will allow customers to access a joint inventory of over 10m seats (twice of each airline’s current one) and to choose from a range of 89 routes and 45 destinations. Vueling’s operating bases (Barcelona, Madrid and Seville) will be complemented by Clickair’s, whose passengers will be able to book flights to and from Madrid for the first time ever.

The two companies are offering passengers the feel of the first real integration step (the formalisation of the same is expected to take place during the summer period).

Even though customers will be able to browse through both airlines’ flights, featuring their corresponding fare, the final purchase will keep on being done separately. In the case of mixed bookings, the first one will correspond to the company whose website is being visited. Subsequently, the system will forward the customer to the other airline’s site in order to purchase the following flight. No extra credit or debit card fee will be raised from this second operation.

Because of their technical complexity, applications such as the Canary and Balearic Islands residents’ discounts, as well as large-family concessions, will be implemented later.
