Pegasus Solutions has acquired GuestClick, Inc., a provider of web-based software and services for the hospitality industry.

The acquisition will provide Pegasus with a foundation to build a next-generation hospitality engine to serve as one of the industry’s first major overhauls of the central reservation system (CRS).

“While Pegasus possesses one of the most comprehensive CRS offerings in the marketplace today, it is through this acquisition that we will be able to provide customers with the improved scalability and next-generation capabilities they need to stay competitive,” said Mike Kistner, Pegasus Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, distribution services.

“Through this acquisition, Pegasus will inherit the software and technology necessary to move to a comprehensive platform centralising the functionality of its major systems. This consolidation of database technologies, operating platforms and programming languages will give Pegasus the capability to take its systems to the next level, all while retaining the deep functionality of its existing systems,” stated a release.
