nuTravel Technology Solutions and G2 SwitchWorks have signed a multi-year contract providing mutual nuTravel and G2 customers with G2 shopping and booking services.

nuTravel Technology Solutions and G2 SwitchWorks have signed a multi-year contract providing mutual nuTravel and G2 customers with G2 shopping and booking services.

nuTravel’s managed corporate online booking tool CTS offers a consumer style shopping experience and direct connect bookings to American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, US Airways, AirTran, Alaska Air, and United Airlines. The direct connect availability is seamlessly integrated into CTS’s matrix display for booking, ticketing and servicing capabilities.

“G2’s low fare search is designed to provide more options so the user is offered the best possible choices for search requests. In one single query, CTS requests fares for multiple cities, multiple dates and multiple fare types for outbound and return flights. The result from one query is up to 300 low fare options vs. the limited results currently returned with other systems. G2 searches public fares, web fares from participating carriers and private agency fares to provide the best available options. Users also have the option to build a unique itinerary with CTS’s “leg fare functionality” providing the actual price for each leg of the trip,” stated a release.

Carmine Carpanzano, president and chief executive officer, nuTravel said, “We can shop and book in multiple GDSs and provide the user with the best pricing options and most up to date prices. G2 is able to accept and display feeds from Airline Pricing Corp. much faster than the other GDSs, so it provides the user with lower fares and up to date prices from the carriers.”

Paul Hesser, vice president technology services group, G2 SwitchWorks said, “With the addition of G2 search, booking and servicing to nuTravel’s online booking tool, travel agents subscribing to G2’s distribution services and their corporate customers have more choice and control over their supplier and distribution channels. Travel agents using nuTravel can utilise our booking and ticketing capabilities, including automated refunds and exchanges, to simplify post-ticketing servicing.”
