Farelogix Inc. has signed an agreement with Sentient Technologies, Inc. to provide a direct connection between Sentient and the FLX Platform.

According to Farelogix, a provider of independent faring and multi-source distribution technology to the travel industry, with this agreement in place, the travel consolidators that use the booking services provided by Sentient, now have direct access to airline content offered through the FLX Platform.

Virginia-based Favourite Travel, LTD is the first agency to go live with the integrated Sentient/Farelogix application, with Continental as the first airline supported by a direct connect relationship.

“Increasingly more airlines are insisting that consolidators complete their bookings directly within their systems,” said Jim Davidson, president and chief executive officer, Farelogix. “Direct connectivity to airline content via the FLX Platform enables companies like Sentient to empower their consolidator
clients to compete more effectively with the absolute best fares.”

“Sentient’s relationship with Farelogix, and in turn our ability to provide our clients with airline direct booking capabilities, will play an instrumental role as we prepare the company for future growth,” said Scott Houle, president and chief executive officer, Sentient Technologies. “Some airlines currently
provide their best consolidator fares through direct connectivity, and as this trend continues to grow, we will be well positioned to provide our clients with uninterrupted content flow.”

Sentient Technologies, a third party technology provider to the air consolidator industry, provides booking services such as net fare management, call centre, and other application suites for
consolidators/retail travel agencies.
