Tripwolf.com, a social travel guide and trip planner based in Austria, has gone into private beta phase. The offering has been launched internationally by European-based IT and telecom incubator, i5invest.

As per the information available, the site may launch for public access in June.

According to tripwolf, it not only shows users how a destination will look and feel like but also introduces them to a community that knows and recommends them. It offers advice and recommendations by locals and experienced travelers. In addition, users will get highly personalised travel recommendations from friends, peers and like-minded travelers.

"Using our intuitive interface you can easily create new locations yourself, upload and edit content, and share your favorite places around the world with your friends. tripwolf is not just a tool to plan & document your trips, places, and experiences - it is a travel community that is hungry for travel! Give back to the community by becoming a trip guru yourself," according to the company.

The final version will also include support for booking travel arrangements, and an iPhone version is being planned. The site has more than 200,000 entries for destinations and points of interest, as well as language support for both English and German.
