Reuters Events Sustainable Business is delighted to announce, Gary Gensler, Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will provide a keynote speech at this year’s Reuters Events: Responsible Business USA 2022 (April 19-20, New York)

This week, the SEC announced the release of its long-awaited proposals for climate disclosures, impacting U.S. public companies. For the first time, U.S. companies have to provide information on climate risks facing their business and the plans to address those risks.

Responsible Business USA 2022 will convene 400+ North American business and finance leaders to share their latest strategies, and more importantly, tangible insights into how to deliver a commercially successful transition that ensures your whole business, and value chain, is aligned with a 1.5C pathway. That investments are made in the areas that scale impact and bring new innovations to market, that take stated promises into both immediate and long-term actions, and that key stakeholders understand and trust your ambition. This is the only forum bringing together senior leaders in an intimate setting for two days of honest, frank, and open discussion on how to deliver the required change.

Other leaders speaking at the event, alongside the Chair of the SEC, include:

  • Hiro Mizuno, Sustainable Finance Envoy, U.N.

  • Roberto Marques, Executive Chairman and Group CEO, Natura & Co.

  • Scott Kirby, CEO, United Airlines

  • Marcie Frost, CEO, CalPERS

  • Jennifer Grancio, CEO, Engine No. 1

  • Ann Mukherjee, CEO, Pernod Ricard North America

  • Barry Parkin, Chief Sustainability and Procurement Officer, Mars

  • Gonzalve Bich, CEO, BIC

  • Mindy Lubber, CEO, Ceres

  • Brand Lander, Comptroller, New York City

  • Plus many more

“For the past 21 years, Responsible Business has been widely regarded as the world’s leading platform for business leaders looking to share new ideas and innovations that have helped shape the future of sustainable business.” said Liam Dowd, Managing Director – Sustainable Business, Reuters Events.

“We’re excited to be bringing our flagship event back to an in-person setting in New York in April. We understand the need to bring all key stakeholders under one roof and that’s why we’re combining three events, and three key communities – corporate sustainability, procurement and ESG investors – all under one roof to share new ideas, strategies, and collaboration opportunities. Business leaders must balance the delivering of ambitious action and commercial success, we will talk to these complexities and help drive the decisions that will shape our decisive decade.,” Dowd added.
