Locus partners with Lytx to improve fleet management platform

Partnership incorporates Lytx data into smart vehicle management platform

Locus, a B2B SaaS company aiming to automate human decisions in the supply chain, has announced a new integration with Lytx, who specialise in video telematics, analytics, safety and productivity solutions for commercial and public sector fleets.

The partnership will use Lytx’s GPS location information data on vehicles to power route planning and optimisation.

The software behind the platform enables fleet managers to monitor fuel economy, asset utilisation, driver behaviours and shipment location. Locus says that it uses machine learning to automate these capabilities and provide analytics.

Locus is a start-up based in India, which has so far raised $29 million across multiple funding rounds.

"We are very excited to join forces with an innovative partner like Lytx and take our combined solution to the market. This partnership offers the perfect blend of analytics and routing capabilities to our customers," said Krishna Khandelwal, Chief Business Officer, Locus. "The optimized routing reduces both capital and operational costs for local distribution while increasing service levels and revenue-generating activities."
