Gasrec highlight benefits of ‘eco-friendly’ fuels for transport and logistics

Experts from Gasrec will be addressing European transport executives on key issues relating to the use of bio-fuels in transport and logistics - and the security of their supply.

Addressing an audience at a review workshop for the government-backed Low Carbon Vehicle Trials, in Gaydon, Warwickshire, Ben Sawford, Gasrec’s Chief Commercial Officer, will discuss the advances in UK gas refuelling infrastructure and the supply and security of renewable methane gas, along with its ability to support the UK transport and logistics sector to reduce emissions and costs.

In Brussels, James Westcott, Gasrec’s Business Development Director, will be addressing a gathering of BESTFACT, the EC supported European consortium focused on innovations in freight transport to meet European transport policy. Specifically addressing the workshop around the growth of small scale solutions in urban freight, green logistics and e-freight, James will highlight the lessons Gasrec has learnt from supplying bio-fuels in real life transport and logistics applications.

As Europe’s leading supplier Bio-LNG, a blend of liquefied gas and liquefied biomethane, Gasrec supplies, installs and manages both open-access and dedicated on-site refuellingfacilities for its many transport customers, which include Tesco, Sainsburys, B&Q, DHL, Waitrose, the Stobart Group, Kuehne + Nagel, Arla Dairies and Muller Wiseman.
