trans-o-flex extends its Board of Directors

At the beginning of the new year, the trans-o-flex Logistics Group could welcome two new members to its Board of Directors.

On 2nd January, Michael Stadlmann (45) accepted his new position as Managing Director Finance & Controlling of the Weinheim-based specialist for pharmaceutical logistic services. Stadlmann comes from Österreichische Post AG, where he held the position of Director Corporate Auditing, Risk Management & Compliance. Following his training as an industrial clerk with Siemens, he studied Business Economics at the universities in Gießen and Paris/Nanterre. He started his professional career at KPMG and Answerthink Europe GmbH in Germany. In 2003, he joined Deutsche Telekom, where he took over the position of Project Manager Finance, IT & Processes as well as the responsibility for the implementation of financial reporting systems. Later, as Senior Vice President of T-Mobile Germany, he was responsible for Data Protection, Legal and Compliance. At the beginning of 2010, he took over the then newly established position of Director Corporate Auditing, Risk Management & Compliance.

On the same date and as planned, Christian Knoblich (44) took over the position of Managing Director Sales & Marketing. This decision had already been announced by the company last October. Until now, his area of responsibility had been managed by Oliver Rupps, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the trans-o-flex Group. Christian Knoblich has approximately 20 years of experience in the distribution, logistics and services sector for pharmaceutical and healthcare products. During recent years, he, in addition to his focus on distribution, could also acquire an extensive operational knowhow. Before joining trans-o-flex, Christian Knoblich, an Austrian citizen, worked for Movianto, where he was appointed Managing Director of the Austrian subsidiary Sanova Pharma in 2006. In 2010, he, as Managing Director Sales, Marketing & Business Development, moved to Movianto’s headquarters in Stuttgart. Two years later, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer, thus taking over the overall responsibility for the pharmaceutical logistics service provider with its approximately 1,800 employees. Christian Knoblich started his career within the Celesio Group in Austria with the wholesale company Herba Chemosan Apotheker-AG before he changed to Sanova Pharma. He went to school in Paris and Vienna and studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business where he took his Master’s degree in Commercial Science.

Ulrich Schupp, predecessor of Michael Stadlmann, is leaving the company at the end of March on his own account in order to continue his carrier outside of the group. He had taken on the position as managing director for finance and administration in April 2011. He significantly influenced the development and commercial success of the trans-o-flex group. Beside his activities as managing director he has made valuable contributions to the reorganization and realignment of the group and considerably influenced the takeover and integration of new network partners.
