Alibaba - a supply chain darling; Are CIO's obsolete in the logistics industry; Latest logistics stats shared

Alibaba was eft’s own Haley Garner’s pick as the #1 Supply Chain Darling. To me, this is not too much of a surprise. what the company has done in the biggest market in the World is quite astonishing. Haley definitely picked 6 huge disruptors for his list which also included Uber, Amazon, eBay, Apple and Dell. I would have liked to see some more traditional companies making the list, some non-tech orientated companies…..but maybe Haley is right and the future of supply chain innovation lies mostly with technology companies? However only 2 of Haley’s 6 feature in Gartner’s top 25 supply chains (Apple and Amazon). Maybe next year some of the other 4 will be in that list.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts as to whom you deem to be your Supply Chain Darling. #SupplyChainDarlings

Kind Regards,

Chris Saynor

CEO, eft
