Tech giants scaling up operations ... and costs
This week, as Alphabet holds a mysterious meeting with major shipping companies, it appears that the number of tech companies operating in the logistics space is going to increase yet again as a host of players hope to get a piece of the pie. However, they aren’t having it all their own way, as even the might of Amazon cannot stop increasing costs from eating into their profits and bumping the share price down, with Flipkart and Uber also seeing profitability as more of a hope at this stage.
