SopoNova 4.0 bags the Plant Engineering Product of the year award

The solar collector from Sopogy won the award last week in Charleston, South Carolina.

Sopogy, Inc.s SopoNova 4.0 has won Gold award in the Plant Engineering Product of the Year 2008 competition, in the category of electrical power.

The Awards, which have three prizes in each category, honour the “most innovative and useful products introduced” to the industrial plant engineering market each year. One hundred and fifty finalists in 16 categories were selected by a panel of judges consisting of plant engineers for publication in Plant Engineering Magazine. Subscribers and readers then voted on their choices for the best products using an online ballot.

The company, which specialises in  MicroCSP solar technologies, had introduced the new SopoNova 4, combining features of its MicroCSP parabolic trough technology that includes modularity, customised tracking, efficient shipping, storm protection, and automatic operation, last year.
