The Clinton Foundation plans a CSP project in Gujarat

Gujarat is once again in news for a solar thermal power project.

In a report filed by The Indian Express, it has emerged that The Clinton Foundation has proposed a solar thermal power project in Gujarat.

The Foundation is ready to ink an MoU with the government as a “technology partner and project infrastructure developer” for the proposed project.

Over the past few months, a couple of other companies, too, have expressed interest in developing such projects.

Interested ones include Eletrotherm (India) Ltd., which is reportedly exploring an option of setting up of a 50MW solar thermal power plant in the Kutch region of Gujarat. Acme Energy Solutions also plans to set up its first 100MW solar thermal power plant, either in Rajasthan or Gujarat.
