CRF Box integrates PKI security from SSH
CRF Box is a wireless and handheld connectivity company involved in clinical trials. Under the terms of the agreement with SSH Communications Security, a supplier of Internet security software for network security solutions, CRF Box will integrate end-to-end PKI security into their wireless product suite.
CRF Box sees PKI as an extremely important tool in securing patient privacy and regulatory compliance in patient diary and other clinical trial data transmitted over multiple networks, said Timo Ahopelto, CEO of CRF Box. We see PKI as a method for controlling access and therefore securing patient privacy in clinical trial setting. Co-operation with SSH has provided CRF Box with strong tools for executing its short term goals, as well as for positioning in the technology evolution towards converged wireless and wired networks.
CRF Box Wireless enables patients and physicians to enter and review clinical data, and access various applications in secure PKI infrastructure via mobile phones, Palm Pilots and the Internet.
