Philadelphia Awards 2015

Apr 7, 2015 - Apr 7, 2015, Philadelphia

The eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards recognize those in the pharmaceutical industry who are driving pharma forwards not just with higher short-term profits, but with better customer innovation, value and outcomes leading to longer-term success.

eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards see patients as core focus

The eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards are the only industry awards to focus on the fundamental themes shaping today’s world of pharma - patient service, customer centricity and innovating for value.

Designed to acknowledge the true value that the industry provides, and champion those who are making progress, the inaugural eyeforpharma Philadelphia Awards aim to surpass the usual ‘best digital campaign’ or ‘best Sales Company of the year’ accolades which proliferate and focus on what really matters to the future of pharma.

The ceremony will be held on Tuesday April 7th at next year’s flagship conference, eyeforpharma Philadelphia. The event will be attended by representatives from all of the top pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Pfizer, Merck, Bayer, Novartis, Sanofi, UCB, GSK & AstraZeneca.

To further increase the authenticity and impact, every award will have customer judges (patients, physicians and payers) as well as industry heavyweights.

I will be looking for innovations that have a truly win-win-win value for patients, the provider and pharma. I will be honing in on what constitutes value for all three, so better outcomes, enhanced quality of life, an enhanced experience with the provider and enhancing the ability to cope with and manage whatever disease state they’re addressing

Nominations for the awards will be open until Friday December 5, 2014, at which point a hand-picked panel of celebrated industry experts will decide the winners.

Speaking ahead of the nominations announcement, Dwayne Dixon, Director of Customer Management, Alcon, who is the judge presiding over the “Most valuable patient initiative or service” category highlighted what he will be looking out for in the submissions: “I will be looking for innovations that have a truly win-win-win value for patients, the provider and pharma. I will be honing in on what constitutes value for all three, so better outcomes, enhanced quality of life, an enhanced experience with the provider and enhancing the ability to cope with and manage whatever disease state they’re addressing”. He went on to add: “It’s critical to the industry to focus increasingly on the patient and deliver hope to them for better outcomes”.

The five categories reward those who are deemed ‘most valuable’ by the international panel of customer judges. These include “Most valuable patient initiative or service”, “Most valuable HCP or healthcare initiative”, “Most impactful emerging or global initiative” and the “Customer Innovator Award”. The final award, “Lifetime Value Achievement”, will be selected and determined by a free vote from the judges, based on a consistent and determined approach to innovation, resilience and value creation over many years.

eyeforpharma Chairman, Paul Simms underlined the uniqueness of the awards: “eyeforpharma’s mission is to make the pharmaceutical industry more open and valued, which means these awards are a literal translation of why we exist. It is our responsibility to shine a light on where pharma does well, to inspire others and drive on change. We want to put the spotlight on the new leaders within pharma who are moving pharma along the curve to being trusted partners in healthcare”.

The finalists will be announced on January 20, 2015.
