Terrestrial Energy Announces Addition of Former President of Bechtel Nuclear to the International Advisory Board

MISSISSAUGA, CANADA – March 18, 2015 – Terrestrial Energy Inc. announces that it has appointed E. James Reinsch to its International Advisory Board.

By Antonia Stuart

Mr. Reinsch is a 40-year veteran of the global nuclear power
industry, and is formerly the President of Bechtel Power’s global nuclear power business, and currently a
member of the board of directors of Duke Energy.

James Reinsch joins a group of some of the most experienced and knowledgeable members of the nuclear
power industry who are providing Terrestrial Energy with strategic advice as it seeks to commercialize Terrestrial
Energy’s next-generation nuclear reactor, the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR).

Mr. Reinsch ranks among the most distinguished and capable executives in the field of nuclear power project
management. During his forty years with Bechtel, he directed the company’s global nuclear operations for eight
years, presided over Bechtel Canada Company, and managed large regions in the United States and Southwest
Asia. Mr. Reinsch served as the President of the American Nuclear Society in 2005/2006. He was a member of
the board of directors of the Nuclear Energy Institute, as well as a member of their executive committee. Mr.
Reinsch currently serves on the board of directors of Duke Energy, the largest power utility company in the
United States. Duke owns and operates eight nuclear power stations. He also serves on the Emirates Nuclear
Energy Corporation’s (ENEC) committee on nuclear power, reporting to the board of directors. ENEC currently
has four nuclear power reactors under development.

“The global energy industry is ready to adopt a new energy technology that is cheaper than coal,” said Mr.
Reinsch, “and Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR offers that possibility. Terrestrial Energy has impressed me with their
practical approach towards technology and business execution. I am honored to be a part of this exciting
project, and to help bring it to fruition.”

About Terrestrial Energy Inc

Terrestrial Energy Inc. has the objective of beginning commercial deployment of its proprietary Molten Salt
Reactor technology by early next decade. Molten Salt Reactor technology represents a revolution in nuclear
safety, waste and proliferation resistance, and in energy cost-competitiveness. Terrestrial Energy’s Integral
Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) is a small modular design, with models ranging from 80 MWth to 600 MWth – ideally
suited for remote communities and industrial operations, including on- and off- grid power provision. Terrestrial
Energy’s board consists of executives from the nuclear, natural resources and finance sectors.

Terrestrial Energy will be hosting an Integral Molten Salt Reactor workshop at the upcoming 5th Annual Small
Modular Reactor Summit 2015 on April 14-15, in Charlotte, NC. This workshop will be an opportunity to learn
about IMSR technology directly from the Company. Participating in this year’s SMR Summit will be Exelon,
Bechtel, Rolls Royce, Electricité de France, PSEG, Ameren, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the US
