The below infographic highlights what Facebook is getting for its money

WhatsApp acquisition is a strategical move towards expanding the Facebook ecosystem: everyday people send more than 1 billion messages through it, and the complaints during the 22th Feb down are the most clear evidence of its importance across more than 450 million people.

What are the numbers behind the $19 billion acquisition? How many people are using it every day and what are they sharing?

The first evidence is related to the markets where the application is most used: Europe and emerging markets are driving the user base growth, and it’s one of the key factor for the Zuckerberg’s strategy of Facebook’s expansion.
