We have just launched our event calendar for 2013. Check it out to find out about all the new conferences we're launching to help you do your job better next year! Hi all, Wanted to give you...

Hi all,

Wanted to give you a heads up - we have just released our 2013 conference calendar. 2013 is going to be a year of big change for the social media director - your role will become important, your remit will broaden, and you will be expected to deliver measurable - and meaningful - results.

Our conference calendar is designed to help all social media directors make 2013 the most successful year yet. You can see the full calendar here.

A few notable points:

  1. Prep for our flagship Corporate Social Media Summit East Coast is already scheduled, and you need to get it in your diary. We're back in NYC in mid-June, and we're scaling up the number of sessions by 50%, the number of speakers by 100% (to 50+), and we're bringing in CEOs and CMOs to contribute this year too. Find out more at www.usefulsocialmedia.com/newyork. It really is the one-stop shop for all Social Media Directors at large brands in the USA. Check it out..
  2. We're launching three new shows in 2013, based on the findings from our research with CMOs and Social Media Directors this summer. They'll focus on:
    1. Customer-Centricity in April: How to put the customer at the centre of your business for better marketing, decision-making and targetting
    2. The Accessible Consumer in October: Based on the observation that there are now many more ways to get in touch with customers than ever before. This leads to opportunities (SoLoMo campaigns) and challenges (exponentially increasing marketing complexity)
    3. The Death of Push Marketing in November: Mass marketing response rates are at 2% and falling. What comes after the traditional marketing methods die?
  3. You'll note that we now have 4 shows that have run for three years or more. We've been in this space for a while, and that means that:
    1. We know this area well - and that translates to the relevance and authority of our conference agendas
    2. You can be confident of quality - we've got a proven track records (and stats/testimonials to prove it!)
    3. We have an 'in' with the leading senior practitioners in the space - meaning our speaker rosters are that much more impressive than our competitors

Anyway, you can check out the full list at our Upcoming Events Site, and sign up for more info on any of our new conferences.
