  • 93% of companies say social media is becoming a more important part of their marketing strategy.
  • 70% of B2C companies will see a budget increase for social media in 2012.
  • 57% of social media teams are part of the marketing department.
  • 76% of companies plan on using social for reputation monitoring in 2012.
  • 56% of companies will use social media to deliver customer services this year.
  • 68% of companies say that they’re not confident in measuring the impact of their social media activity.
  • 79% of businesses feel that current social media metrics are insufficient.
  • 41% of European companies say that they can link revenue to social media activity. However, only 35% of Americans say they can.
  • 1/3 of B2C companies still use external agencies to run their social media activity.
