Canon Middle East and Dollar Shave Club are among the winners at this year’s Corporate Social Media Awards

On Monday, June 15th 2015, over 120 of the world's leading social media experts gathered at Incite Group’s Corporate Social Media Awards ceremony in New York.

Nearly 150 entries were received this year, covering a range of sectors and industries from all over the world, in itself reiterating the fact that social media is becoming an integral part of business strategy.

The judges were looking for entries that clearly demonstrated how the company had incorporated social media into the heart of their operations and customer activities.

Opening up the Awards Ceremony Nick Johnson, founder of the Incite Group, said that the standard from this year’s entrants had been very high, and that it’s great to see and read about all the great work and achievements being made in corporate social media.

  • Celebrating the birthday with the fans — “Let your dream fly” campaign - TAP Portugal / Wingman

In this category, the judges were looking for the stand-out examples of campaigns that have engaged, entertained, driven results and set the standard that companies in both their industry and others look to emulate. Judges will be searching for the social media campaign that really sets the bar and has that Social Media X-Factor.

  • Best Social Customer Care - Thomas Cook

  • Driving Social Care through a Customer Centric Culture - General Motors

  • Connecting with customers in a socially savvy world - HP

  • Social Care at Liberty Mutual Insurance - Liberty Mutual Insurance

  • Qantas Airways Online Customer Care - Qantas Airways

Having perhaps, the longest list of nominees, this category was one of the hardest to choose from. The judges were looking for a company that’s gone above and beyond in their support of customers on social media. The winner has delivered a first-class approach to managing all kinds of customer complaints and queries.

The judges were looking to reward tan agency that has delivered multiple outstanding projects or results that have enabled clients to offer a first-class social media experience.

Judges were looking for a company that had gone beyond the norms and broken boundaries in their approach to social media. They were looking for that truly innovative use of social media.

This award was judged upon by Incite Group’s global community. Votes were sourced over a two week period. The community was asked to vote for a winner that they felt has done the most to drive social media forward in their company. The winner has clearly achieved positive and tangible results via social media. The Award was presented by Joshua March, CEO of Conversocial, sponsors of the Awards ceremony.

  • Winner - Natanya Anderson, Director of Social Media, CRM and Customer Care at Whole Foods
